Recipes For Morning Whey Protein Shakes

Starting your day with a morning when protein shake is a great strategy if you are trying to lose weight for a weight loss program or weight loss diet, fitness training, or bodybuilding. Whey protein has been proven many times to accelerate lean muscle tissue i.e. muscle, which increase your BMI, your basal metabolic rate, ie your metabolism, and increase weight loss on it's own. For the following recipes, if you are a man, use 25 - 40 grams whey protein. If you are a woman, use 20 - 35 grams whey protein. If you add yogurt or milk to your protein shake or smoothie, decrease the relative amounts.

Whey Protein Drink

The simplest, quickest way (no pun intended) to make a whey protein drink is to just add your whey protein to water or milk and stir. The whey protein should dissolve into the fluid within seconds, is it's a true whey protein. I do this when I am in a hurry or need a fast protein drink. This protein drink does not even require a blender.

Strawberry Whey Shake

Whey Protein
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup ice

Put the ingredients in a blender and stir.

Strawberry Banana Protein Shake

Whey Protein
1 banana
1/4 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup ice

Mixed Berries Protein Shake

Whey Protein
1/2 cup frozen mixed berries, including blueberries, raspberries, strawberries
1 cup ice

Banana Berry Protein Shake

Whey Protein
1 banana
1/4 cup mixed berries, including blueberries, raspberries, strawberries
1 cup ice

Strawberry Whey Protein Yogurt Smoothie

Whey Protein
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup Yogurt
1 cup ice

Cinnamon is most likely to help increase metabolism and help with your stomach, so try adding Cinnamon to your morning protein shakes. Other herbs to consider adding to your whey shakes are Nutmeg, Ginger, etc.
