Vitamin D Helps Make Stronger Bodies

Supplements such as Vitamin D and others can assist you in achieving a healthier, stronger body

Vitamin D Creates a Stronger, Healthier Body

People who have a higher amount of Vitamin D in their body performed better physically and had stronger muscles versus people who had low amounts of Vitamin D in their bodies.

Harvard Medical School Medcial Doctors and Scientist have discovered the best amount of Vitain D to have in our bodies is about seventy-five nanomoles per blood liter. In the following study, the participants had close to a quarter of those levels.

Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, enrolled almost a thousand participants with the age of 65 or older from two Italian towns in the Chianti region.

The researchers checked out measured how well these participants did in various tests, which contained speed of walking, seated position standing, strength of their hands, balance and agility tests with increasing difficulites. The test results concluded those with lower Vitamin D levels in their bodies were about five to ten percent less stronger than those who had higher Vitamin D levels. Just from this test, they concluded that Vitamin D may not be the only factor for the discrepancy in fitness results. Vitamin D is necessary for muscles to have proper function.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is now recommending for those over 70 to have 600 IU Vitamin D per day, 50 to 70, 400 IU Vitamin D per, and for those under 50 years old, about 200 IU Vitamin D per day.

There is also a new thinking in the medical community that higher doses of Vitamin D may be okay, and many people may be at risk having too low a dose of Vitamin D in their bodies
