Hi Personal Trainer Los Angeles,
 
I have a question for you.  Since Jan 2008 I have been going to the gym at least 3 times a week.  On average I do 40 mins of cardio and then work on my abs, arms and thighs. As well, the days that I do not go to the gym I go for around an hour brisk walk.  At the start I weighed 176 and now I am 154.  I am 5'1 and 30 yrs old.  I have struggled over the last few years with this weight, being  like a yoyo. I lose 30-35lbs and then I gain it back.  I am on my third time now, and honestly despite losing 22lbs so far I have not lost any in my stomach.  I have lost inches around the waist, but it is more from the area in my back.  My stomache is just as big as it always was.  I am starting to get discouraged and wondering if it will ever start to go away, or might some problem exist that is making it impossible to lose the fat in my stomach.  I have asked the nutrionist at the gym where I go, but got the answer " everybody has their problem areas, some is in the stomache and some in the legs. etc...."  But the thing is the last times that I lost the weight it went away in the stomach.
