Eating healthy is extremely important for any exercise program, especially weight loss programs, fitness program, sports program, and any strength training. The food you eat is literally the fuel your body uses. Your food is the fuel for your body, your daily activity, your exercise, and your metabolism.

You must eat enough calories for you  to have enough energy for activities, especially exercise. Therefore, you must eat enough food for your body to increase metabolism.

If you limit your calories too much, your metabolism will decrease - your body will stop using stored body fat for energy, your body will use protein from your muscles for energy, and your energy levels will plummet, which leads to feeling bad, frustration, angry, bad moods, and leads to weight gain.

Obviously eating too much also leads to weight gain, so it’s all about eating the right foods and eating in balance, especially eating focused for your fitness goal.
