FIND A PERSONAL TRAINER

In order to find a personal trainer, you fist of all need to know what you want. You need to know your fitness goals, otherwise you may not be as focused on your goals and therefore work out year after year doing the same thing in the gym, accomplishing little if nothing. What do you want to accomplish with a personal trainer? Do you actually need a personal trainer? If you want to accomplish more than what you’ve been struggling for, then obviously get a professional. If you are satisfied with your results, then obviously don’t get a personal trainer.

A personal trainer will help to get you where you want to go. They will have the knowledge and experience of going from where you are right now, plus the knowledge from certification and/ or a degree, which enables them to be able to personal train individuals other than themselves.

To find a personal trainer, your first need to look for a personal trainer with the necessary qualifications and certification. First of all are they certified? This doesn’t tell you very much as I’m sure you already know. I’m sure you’ve heard the horror stories. More than ninety five percent of personal trainers don’t have ANY knowledge of how to train YOUR body. So does the personal trainer have a degree in personal training? In other words, do they have a degree in simple biomechanics, kinematics, kinesiology, even the basics, like exercise science, which is a gym teacher, or nutrition? If not, your are taking a serious risk. At least half my clients are from people who had “personal trainers’ and either didn’t get the results they wanted, got injured, or jot the results they wanted, but soon lost them. In other words, a current fad is the high protein diet, which makes you lose water weight and not actual fat. You can lose a hundred pounds and still not lose fat! Albeit that’s an over weight person, but you get the point. Find a personal trainer who minimally has a degree at least! Then the more advanced in this area, the more they know how to personal train other individuals bodies and how to achieve their goals.
